B.ID.
MS-IDPT of Sarvajanik University, will have full time 4 years course offering Bachelor of Interior Design. The syllabus of Interior Design Course has been designed with a vision to make the programme more learner centric, competent to global demands, relevant to time and context and inclusive of subjects of liberal studies and transdisciplinary electives.
A rich blend of experience and expertise, and strong faculty strength, will mentor students in an industry-partnered, project-based learning experience to address social, cultural, technological and environmental challenges associated with the design of contemporary interior environments – the spaces in which we live, learn, work and play – in a dynamic changing world.
The programme intends to develop an understanding in students towards the role of interior design in increasing efficiency and sustainability of spaces and improve living as well as working environment.
The global exposure programmes and exchange with international universities ensures a global outlook for the student.
M.ID.
With rich blend of experience and expertise and a strong faculty strength, students will be mentored in an industry-partnered, project-based learning experience to address social, cultural, technological and environmental challenges associated with the production of contemporary interior environments – the spaces in which we live, learn, work and play – in a dynamic changing world.
The unique feature of the MID program is the industry-partnered studio work with a range of organizations that will change every semester to provide diversity and project context including commercial, civic, institutional and social projects.
This will give opportunities to connect with peer designers and leading global companies. It will provide students with an opportunity to position themselves in relation to current design practices through collaboration with network of clients, industry and peers.
With an emphasis on ideas and a design-led approach to research and experimentation, the knowledge and skills one develops in this course will enable students to work in an array of practices, and to engage interior design as a medium of social and cultural change. Students will engage with clients (encompassing commercial, institutional, civic and social organizations) and industry practice partners (interior design and associated design practices) together with the student cohort on live projects and challenges.
Students will be able to chalk out their own road map with specialisation in furniture design, communication design, interior lighting, graphic design, product design, etc. as a result of the flexibility provided in selection of organizations and companies during the course period.
