BASIC DESIGN & VISUAL ART

First year B.ID subject started with leaning basic geometrical shapes, forms and its relationship to space. This Thursday we took students to English cemetery. English cemetery is a historical colonial place in Surat city. In English cemetery mausoleums are designed in basic forms and they use monumental scale which enhance Students understanding and experience. Students need to create 5 to 7 A3 size drawings in various mediums.

Expected:

• Understanding of basic geometrical forms and its relationship to space.
• Simplification and complexity of planes and forms
• Compositional aspect of space and form
• Improvisation of drawing skills
• Understating various medium
